Yay! I Made Payout For Kontera!

**Update: In Spring 2011, HubPages discontinued Kontera advertising. So, it is no longer an option for revenue sharing on HubPages. I still use Kontera on my own blogs and sites.

I made payout for Kontera. Contextual advertising works. I met payout for Kontera in a reasonably short amount of time. It was easy. According to Kontera haters, it takes a long, long time and tons of traffic to make payout for Kontera. However, that wasn't the case for me. For newbies, in case you don't know about Kontera. Kontera is an online advertising company that pays publishers (hubbers or article writers) for allowing Kontera to place contextual advertising in hubs or articles. Along with being contextual, Kontera ads are in text. The ads appears when your reader hoovers their cursor over a double underlined word in the text. If the reader clicks on the ad, then the publisher (hubber or writer) gets paid a portion of the advertising fee. It's kinda like Google AdSense, but Kontera's ads are embedded in the text (words).

Kontera Contextual Advertising: Loved or Hated

Making money online with Kontera has not been difficult as it's been made out to be. Many people seem to be bothered with contextual advertising, particularly in text advertising which is what Kontera does. Most people either hate them or love them. There's not much middle ground. I just don't get the reasoning of the hate Kontera crowd. Kontera in text advertising really hasn't bothered me. I'm not the kind of person who blindly follows what other people say. I'm an independent thinker. I try to check things out and decide for myself what to do. If I had listened to what a lot of people said about Kontera and contextual advertising, I would not be getting $50 deposited into my Pay Pal account next month. What's really great about it is that it didn't cost me a dime to earn that $50. Yes, I made $50 just for having Kontera contextual advertising placed in my hubs and articles. Thanks Kontera!

Kontera Contextual Advertising and AdSense Make A Great Team

I consider Kontera another great way to achieve my goals in making money online. In my opinion, contextual advertisers Kontera and Google AdSense work together nicely. They make a great team. I continue to hear from other authors that Kontera isn't worth being added to hubs, and that they don't earn very much money. I think Kontera is an asset. Even if it were true that I only earn a few cents a day, it doesn't cost me anything to have Kontera's contextual ads in my hubs. Yes, some days I don't earn anything or only earn a few cents with Kontera ads. But let this shocking fact sink in, on one day during the recent Black Friday weekend I actually made more with Kontera than I did with Google AdSense! It was a great day with Kontera, but I guess most of my readers that day were jam packed at Walmart, Best Buy, Target or some other store scrapping over some of the super sales and deals on products in the stores.

Once 1st Kontera Payout Is Made Future Payouts Should Come Faster

Now that I've made my first payout for Kontera contextual advertising, the next one will probably come sooner. It definitely will as I write more good content. If you have blogs and other websites, you should add Kontera contextual advertising to them also. I encourage people who are on the fence about whether to add Kontera to your hubs or articles, just try it for a while to see for yourself if it works for you. When I first signed up I didn't make much because I didn't have much content. After I participated in the HubPages contest during the month of May I started to see more earnings. The challenge was to write at least one new health related hub each day. I didn't succeed in writing a new hub each day for the entire 30 days, but it got me motivated.

Try Kontera For Yourself

In conclusion, making payout for Kontera is not as hard as many people say it is. Check it out for yourself. It's free to join. It's easy to set up. As you create more and more good content, your earnings will increase. Before you know it, you'll make payout and once you make it once then future payouts should come faster. I wish you the best and much success in making money online.

If you're logged into HubPages you won't see the Kontera ads on any hubs. Log out and you will see them.

Hello NoRR4Me.

How much is your daily traffic?

Did you make your payout in one month?

Pedrog, I won't give my specific traffic, but it's no where near what people say it should be to make money with Kontera.

It took me several months to make my first payout for Kontera. But, one of my long range goals for 2011 is to make Kontera payout every month. Right now I'm hoping to make it at least every other month.

So the earnings roll over month to month, we don't need to make $50 in a month in order to get paid, right?

That's correct Pedrog. All of your earnings roll over from month to month until you reach payout at $50 (or you can choose to hold your earnings for a certain amount over that).

There used to be a minimum amount needed to roll over; but not anymore. I believe Kontera has made a lot of improvements in the last couple of years.

The Kontera ads are annoying because they disrupt the flow of the text, but if they work...

I had them enabled for a long time but didn't make a cent. Maybe I'll try again.
